Privacy Policy

Skarb is a web app for tracking personal finances, provided by [operator name] ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data Skarb processes, why, and how you can control it. For any question about your data, write to support.skarb@gmail.com.

1. What data we process

• Account data: your email address and, if you provide it, your name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
• Data you enter: accounts and their balances, transactions, transfers, categories, budgets, goals, recurring payments and their descriptions.
• Settings: base currency, language, time zone, theme and other app preferences.
• Technical data: the IP address and browser details that our hosting and sign-in providers process while serving the app; the country derived from your IP address, used only to pick the interface language; technical error reports.

Skarb does not connect to your banks, does not receive bank statements and never asks for payment card details. All financial data in Skarb is what you entered yourself.

2. Why we process it

• to provide the service: store your data, show it to you and run calculations on it;
• to let you sign in and to protect the service from abuse;
• to find and fix errors;
• to reply when you contact us.

We process data to provide the service under the Terms of Use, and based on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working.

3. What we don't do

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their own purposes. Skarb does not use advertising trackers or web analytics services.

4. Who else processes data

Skarb relies on service providers that process data on our behalf and only to deliver their services:

• Clerk - sign-up, sign-in and session management;
• Vercel - application hosting;
• Neon - database (hosted in the European Union);
• Sentry - technical error reports;
• Google - only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so data may be transferred outside Ukraine and the European Union under their data processing agreements. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

5. Cookies and local storage

Skarb only uses cookies the site cannot work without: for your sign-in session (set by Clerk), and for your chosen language and theme. Some interface preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

6. How long we keep data

Data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, its data is removed from the live database. It may remain for a while in database backups and provider logs until they are overwritten in the normal course.

7. Your choices

• Get a copy of your data: Settings → "Data & privacy" → export as CSV.
• Correct your data: edit it directly in the app.
• Delete your data: in the same place you can wipe all financial data or delete your account entirely.
• For any other request about your data, write to support.skarb@gmail.com.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority (in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights).

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data: connections are encrypted and each account's data is accessible only to its owner. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Age

Skarb is not intended for anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page, with its effective date shown at the top.
